Overview

The Gray-Nicolls Velocity 5.5 Spike Shoes are adult performance cricket shoes designed to provide secure traction and support on natural grass. As the higher-numbered Velocity spike model in this catalogue, the 5.5 is aimed at players wanting a more performance-led option for regular match use.

Best for

Regular adult club cricketers and players who want a dedicated grass spike for frequent matches and training.

Key features

  • Cricket-specific spiked outsole
  • Designed for secure grip on natural grass
  • Supportive construction for cricket movement
  • Performance-oriented adult fit
  • UK sizing including half sizes

OTR view

The Velocity 5.5 is worth considering if you play most of your cricket on grass and want to prioritise traction. Against the rubber Velocity, it sacrifices some surface versatility in exchange for the more planted feel of spikes; against the 5.0 Spike, it sits as the more performance-focused option in the range.

Sizes

Available in adult UK sizes including half sizes. Check the live finder for exact current availability.
