The Kookaburra Rapid 2.1 Cricket Batting Gloves are higher-specification club gloves designed to deliver strong impact protection while keeping the hands mobile around the bat. Developed finger sections and reinforced protection across the back and side of the hand are combined with a comfortable palm and secure wrist fit.

Best for

Regular adult club cricketers who want a protective step up from mid-range gloves without necessarily moving to the flagship Rapid Pro.

Key features

Developed multi-section finger protection
Reinforced back-of-hand coverage
Flexible articulated construction
Additional lead-hand side protection
Comfort-focused palm and lining
Secure wrist closure

OTR view

The 2.1 should hit a useful performance/value point for frequent club players. It is substantially more protection-focused than a starter glove, but the Pro only becomes necessary where the additional protection is worth paying for.
